Polo's Homemade Italian Water Ice is a family owned business focused on providing a quality product with first class service to help make your event memorable.
Polo's was founded almost 25 years ago by the owner Cliff Joyner who has been involved in the Italian Ice business since his college days during an internship with the local YMCA. He fell in love with the product but more importantly, how it made people feel after they experienced it for themselves. With this in mind, Polo’s vision was born.
Now Polo's provides Italian Water Ice through our fleet of 18 mobile carts to events across the Southeast. Polo’s specializes in employee appreciation events, concerts/music festivals, sporting events as well as pool side daiquiri parties. Polo's has serviced groups from 50-500,000. Polo's can also be found in regular locations around the Charlotte area throughout the months of March – November.

CLIFF JOYNER was born in Rockingham County, NC, where he grew up working on a tobacco farm owned by his Grandfather. Here, he learned the value of a hard days work and being a man of your word. During college Cliff played basketball at both Brevard College and later Greensboro College. He then used his skills to play basketball internationally. When he returned to NC, he began to grow his business of Polos Homemade Italian Water Ice. Now his focus is on growing the business but also to provide employment opportunities and growth experiences for his employees that may not always have been given a chance.
Cliff lives in the Historic West End of Charlotte, NC with his family. His long time partner, Andrea, two sons Bryce and Theo and their two dogs.
Cliff continues to stay active in his community by being a volunteer coach for both football and basketball with local youth programs and can always be found mentoring young people in both business and personal endeavors.
